FUNDRAISING - Out of Sight Dragons
Ahh, love is in the air, and it smells like delectable, mouth-watering fudge. There is a lot of candy out there this Valentine’s Day, but if you buy this fudge, you will be sharing the love. If you use the link on this page to place your fudge order, you will help to support the efforts of the Out of Sight Dragons, a dragon boat team consisting of mostly blind and visually impaired paddlers.
There are few competitive team sports which allow blind and visually impaired athletes to compete with sighted athletes, but dragon boat racing is such a sport, and the Out of Sight Dragons is an accomplished team. We have received numerous awards and have achieved championships, and we are as hungry for more victory as you are for this fudge.
Dragon boating is expensive, from the purchase and maintenance of equipment, to the need to travel in order to compete. Please consider purchasing some fudge, and encourage your family and friends to do the same, so that the Out of Sight Dragons can continue to recruit members and participate fully in this exciting sport. How to order: View the items on this page below and make your selections. When completing the checkout process enter coupon code DRAGONS so that your fudge purchase will benefit our group. Please note that this is not a discount code, it simply marks the orders so they may be identified as ours. We will receive 50% of all fudge sales from January 2nd, 2023 through January 31st, 2023 with this code applied (excluding shipping).
Shipping: Since this is a virtual fundraiser, you’ll also choose your shipping method and destination. Only one destination may be selected per order. After our selling period ends on January 31st, please allow up to 14 days for production & shipping to take place.
Tips for storing fudge: Fudge will not spoil, but over time the outer edges may harden if the fudge is left in the open air. Keep your fudge at room temperature, wrapped in the special liner in its box. Storage in a refrigerator may cause fudge to absorb odors and moisture. To store fudge for a longer period of time, put the whole box in a zip lock freezer bag, squeeze out as much air as possible and place in the freezer. The fudge will keep indefinitely in these conditions. When you are ready to eat the fudge, remove it from the freezer, leaving it in the plastic bag until thawed.
